Scott Spiezio Pleads Guilty to DUI
Monday, April 07, 2008 at 05:59 PM | Read MoreScott Spiezio pleaded guilty Monday to misdemeanor drunken driving and hit-and-run charges stemming from a December car crash in Orange County. Spiezio’s lawyer entered the plea as part of a plea agreement, said Farrah Emami, a spokeswoman for county prosecutors. Spiezio was ordered to serve three years probation, undergo a three-month alcohol program, attend two Alcoholics Anonymous meetings and complete 80 hours of community service. He must also pay about $1,700 in fines and restitution, including $839 in damages caused by the crash, she said.

The Indiana University grad, who had originally thought to make dentistry his profession, will be inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame, and nobody is more deserving. Niehaus has been described as being able to “make a foul pop sound exciting”. In the man’s own words, “"I've always looked at every game as exactly what it is: one-162nd of the season. Every game tells a different story and I love telling it."
